Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Johannesburg: Arrive in Johannesburg, largest city and financial capital of South Africa. Check in a hotel and after some relaxation go out to check Constitution Hill, an old prison converted to a museum. Both Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela served imprisonment here. The artwork at this magnificent hill is loaded with deep stories of a nation born out of struggle and yearning for an equal society.
In the late afternoon, if time permits, go on to visit Monte Casino Bird Park. This can be a great fun for children in particular. There is a tea garden in the Park where older people can relax too, if they are not interested in moving around the park to see colourful birds.
Have dinner in the evening and retire to the comforts of your hotel room. Overnight in Johannesburg.

Day 2:Johannesburg: Embark on a full day sightseeing tour after breakfast. Visit Soweto, the part of city which was once the home of Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu. Later visit Apartheid Museum, a museum which showcases South Africa’s history from the time early settlers, to the gold rush of Johannesburg, to the rise and ultimate end of Apartheid.
In the afternoon take an hour drive to visit Sterkfontein Caves, a well known tourist destination for their fossil finds. In the evening spend time at Maboneng Precinct and enjoy some of the tastiest food and deserts. Return to your hotel and have a nice sleep in the comforts of your hotel room.

Day 3:Johannesburg – Cape Town:
Check out from the hotel after an early breakfast. Transfer to the airport to catch a morning flight to Cape Town. You can have excellent views of the Table Mountain from the flight itself. Check into a hotel on arrival in Cape Town. Take some rest and later in the afternoon go on to a guided hike up to the Table Mountain. Enjoy some wonderful views of Cape Town.
Have nice dinner in the evening. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 4: Cape Town: Have a hearty breakfast and embark on a full day sightseeing tour of Cape Town and the beautiful sites around the city. Start with a tour of the Cape Peninsula. This includes a visit to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, a visit to the beautiful Boulders Bay to see the penguin colony, and Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. Witness some of the most impressive coastal roads in South Africa on this tour. A visit to Champman’s Peak will also be quite a nice one.
Return towards the evening. Have a nice dinner. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 5: Cape Town: Cape Town is quite known for its wines. Make a point to visit to vineyards and wine lands. There are three main wine towns near Cape Town. These are Franschhoek, Paarl and Stellanbosch. Spend your time understanding wine making processes and relish the tastes of different wines at all these towns.
Late in the afternoon take a visit to City Hall, the place from where Nelson Mandela addressed thousands after his release from Robben Island in 1990. In the evening, explore the famous V&A Waterfront. Check out nearby shopping malls known as Millionaires’ Mile. Have a nice dinner at one of the restaurants. Overnight in Cape Town.

Day 6: Cape Town – Port Elizabeth – Eastern Cape Game Areas: After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport from where you will catch a flight to Port Elizabeth. On arrival in Port Elizabeth, you drive to a resort in Amakhala Game Reserve, one of Eastern Cape Game Areas. After settling in the resort for some time, go out for a game drive in the evening.
Have a nice dinner in the evening before retiring to your room.

Day 7:Eastern Cape Game Areas: Go for a very early morning game drive. Return and have a nice breakfast. Spend the day at leisure. Have lunch and after some time get ready for the afternoon game drive. This drive will start in the afternoon but carry on till dark. This gives a chance to see some of the nocturnal animals. Have a nice dinner and retire to your room for a relaxing overnight sleep.

Day 8:Eastern Cape Game Areas: Go for an early morning game drive again. Return and have a nice hearty breakfast. Later, go for a guided bush walk to the veld. This can prove to be a nice informative walk, particularly after breakfast.
Spend the day at leisure till afternoon, when you set out for a sunset cruise in the Park. This is a fantastic way to view hippos and other water inhabiting animals.
Have a nice dinner in the evening. Overnight in the resort.

Day 9: Eastern Cape Game Areas – Onward Destination: Embark on yet another morning game drive, last of your tour. Have a nice breakfast on return. Check out from the resort and transfer to the airport in Port Elizabeth. Catch the flight for your onward destination.
