Sri Lanka has a lot to offer to tourists of all choices. We are suggesting a few itineraries, with duration of each of them ranging from seven to eleven days. Each of these itineraries has loads of experiences and activities put into it. But our guests are always welcome to mix and match these and make their own itineraries to suit their tastes.
Our only wish is to ensure our guests must enjoy each and every moment of their time in Sri Lanka on their vacations.
Itinerary 1: Sri Lankan Nature Trails
Itinerary Type: Wildlife and Nature

Day 1: Bandaranaike International Airport-Kandy: Straight away drive to Kandy on arrival at Colombo International Airport. Stop en-route at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Overnight in Kandy.
Day 2: Kandy: Local Sightseeing and Overnight in Kandy.
Day 3: Udawatta Forest – Kandy: Start the day visiting Udawatta Forest, often referred to as Royal Forest Park. The sanctuary is famous for its extensive avifauna. Wild boars, porcupines, civets, Indian Pangolin, Ruddy Mongoose, and Slender loris can be seen in the forest along with different varieties of snakes and lizards. The Sanctuary is also good for bird watchers.
Overnight in Kandy.
Day 4: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya: The drive of around 80km up the hill is amazing in terms of sceneries. On the way see the beautiful Ramboda waterfalls. Check into a hotel or resort on reaching Nuwara Eliya. Half day sightseeing in Nuwara Eliya. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 5: Nuwara Eliya – Horton Plains – Nuwara Eliya: Travel to the Wildlife Sanctuary of Horton plains, where live the sambar and red slender Loris hidden among the mist covered forests. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 6: Nuwara Eliya – Colombo: Start after breakfast from Nuwara Eliya. Half day sightseeing in Colombo. Overnight in Colombo.
Day 7: Colombo – Onward destination: Check out after breakfast. Some sightseeing in Colombo (if time permits) and drop to the airport for onward destination.
Itinerary 2: Sri Lankan Wildlife Tour

Day 2: Sinharaja: Have Morning and Evening Bird Watching Sessions at Sinharaja. Overnight in Sinharaja.
Day 3: Sinharaja – Galle – Mirissa: Visit the famed Dutch Galle Fort. Later on move to Mirissa. Overnight in Mirissa.
Day 4: Mirissa: Enjoy dolphin and whale watching in Mirissa. Overnight in Mirissa.
Day 5: Mirissa -Yala Evening Safari: Overnight at a hotel or resort in Yala National Park.
Day 6: Yala National park – Udawalawe Wildlife Sanctuary: Enjoy morning safari at Yala National Park. After lunch head to Udawalawe wildlife sanctuary, a sanctuary famed for elephants. Overnight at a luxury camp in Udawalawe Sanctuary.
Day 7: Udawalawe Wildlife Sanctuary: Take a tour of the Udawalawa wildlife Sanctuary in search of wild elephants. Visit Ath Athru Sevana, elephant transit home, where orphaned elephant babies are rehabilitated for a life in the jungle. Overnight at Udawalawe wildlife Sanctuary.
Day 8: Udawalawa Sanctuary – Colombo: Start for Colombo after breakfast. Do some local sightseeing in Colombo. Overnight in Colombo.
Day 9: Colombo – Onward destination: Check out from the hotel after breakfast. Go for some more sightseeing (if time permits) in Colombo and drop to the airport for onward destination.
Itinerary 3: Classic Sri Lanka Heritage

Day 1: Colombo Airport – Kandy: Start for Kandy directly from Colombo International Airport. Stop en route at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Visit Temple of the Tooth Relic and attend a concert showcasing traditional Sri Lankan music and dance in the evening. Overnight in Kandy.
Day 2: Kandy – Peradeniya Botonical Gardens – Dambulla – Kandalama: Stroll in Peradeniya Botanical Gardens among exotic flora varieties. Head to Dambulla Temple afterwards and spend the night in Kandalama on the banks of the Kandalama Reservoir.
Day 3: Kandalama – Sigiriya – Anuradhapura: After enjoying bird watching on the banks of Kandalama Reservoir, head to Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Start for Anuradhapura after lunch. Overnight in Anuradhapura.
Day 4: Anuradhapura City Tour: Full day sightseeing of Anuradhapura. Overnight in Anuradhapura.
Day 5: Anuradhapura – Polonnaruwa: Head to Polonnaruwa after breakfast. Explore the ruins of the city. Towards evening go for a pleasant boat ride in Parakrama Samudraya. Overnight in Polonnaruwa.
Day 6: Polonnaruwa – Minneriya Wildlife Reserve – Polonnaruwa: Explore Polonnaruwa in the first half. Go to Minneriya Wildlife Reserve in the afternoon. The wildlife reserve is home to wild elephants, wild buffaloes, spotted deer, sloth bear and many more animals. Overnight in Polonnaruwa.
Day 7: Polonnaruwa – Colombo: After breakfast head to Colombo. Go for a city tour of Colombo. Visit National Museum and the Antiquities replica sales Centre at Museum premises. Overnight in Colombo.
Day 8: Colombo – Onward Destination: If time permits go for brief sightseeing tour of Colombo and head to the International Airport for catching flight to desired destination.
Itinerary 4: Sri Lankan Beach Bash

Highlights: Negombo city tour, whale and dolphin watching at Kalpitiya, diving at Marawila and third reef, Dutch canal cruise, Colombo city tour, diving the ship wrecks; the conch and Earl of Shaftesbury and the black coral at Hikkaduwa, Dutch fort of Galle, whale and dolphin watching in Mirissa.
Day 1: Colombo Airport – Negombo: Head to Negombo straight from the airport. Take a stroll around Negombo town, often referred to as the little Rome of Sri Lanka. Look out at the prominent colonial landscape of the town. Overnight in Negombo.
Day 2: Negombo – Kalpitiya – Negombo: After an early breakfast go on a two hour drive to Kalpitiya. Head to Dutch Bay where whales and dolphins are found in abundance. Large pods of Spinner Dolphins could be found within a just one hour boat ride from Kalpitiya harbour while Sperm whales and blue whales are found in large pods near the Bar reef between the Months of April to November. Spend the rest of the day exploring the country’s largest coral reef, situated off the Dutch Bay. Return back to Negombo. Overnight in Negombo.
Day 3: Negombo – Marawila – Negombo: Spend the morning diving and exploring around the wreck of a Royal Air Force fighter bomber in Marawila, a drive of around 45 minutes from Negombo. The aircraft crashed some fifty years ago but is still in great form. You can enjoy moray eels and other forms of marine life here. Explore coral reefs in the afternoon. You can spot different varieties of rays and dolphins here. Return back to Negombo. Overnight in Negombo.
Day 4: Negombo – Colombo: Spend the morning cruising along the colonial Dutch canals and head for Colombo, a distance of around 40km. Enjoy some sightseeing and have fun shopping and enjoying some city life. Overnight in Colombo.
Day 5: Colombo – Hikkaduwa: After breakfast take an hour and half long drive along the turquoise Indian Ocean to reach Hikkaduwa. Enjoy a series of exciting dives here right throughout the afternoon.
There are ship wrecks present underneath the ocean waters. Besides these ship wrecks, other diving sites of Hikkaduwa include the Seenigamagala Rock, Diyamba Gala, Kiralagala, Sunil Gala, Black Coral Point and off coral gardens. They all can be reached by boat rides of short duration. All of them are coral sites and are home to moray eels, barracudas, angel fish, butterfly fish, rays, basslets, puffer fish, hawk fish, blow fish and many more varieties. Overnight in Hikkaduwa.
Day 6: Hikkaduwa – Galle – Mirissa: Begin the day with dives at decided locations. Start after lunch for Mirissa, some 65km away from Hikkaduwa. Stop en-route at at the Dutch Galle Fort and Galle maritime museum. Overnight in Mirissa.
Day 7: Mirissa: Head to Mirissa harbour and start for dolphin and whale watching tour. Blue whales, Bryde´s whales, Sperm whales, Fin whales, bottle nose dolphins, common dolphins and spinner dolphins grace the waters around Mirissa. After a fun filled outing, have a nice relaxing evening. Overnight in Mirissa.
Day 8: Mirissa – Colombo – onward destination: After breakfast head for Colombo, around 160km from Mirissa. Go straight to the airport to catch your flight to your desired destination.
